Vocalise

This disc explores the instrumental "voice" of ecstasy.  Love, death, pain, sensuality, nature, anticipation and even religious ecstasy are vibrantly present here.  The inherent ecstasy of performing as a “singer” plays no small role.  As any singer will agree, there is a natural high in singing that is very difficult to match in the instrumental world.

Through Vocalise, Stephanie and I examine songs, poetry, and solo trumpet repertoire as they relate to my vocally based trumpet technique.
